Why you keep giving back your trading profits
You were up. You kept trading. Now you're down. Flow's point: that's not a strategy problem — it's the difference between trained money and untrained money.
Giving profits back to the market is a discipline problem, not a strategy problem. Most traders already understand support, resistance, and confirmation. What blows up the account is undisciplined behavior — revenge trading and overtrading. That's the line between untrained money and trained money.
The feeling every trader knows
As Flow puts it: "what hurts worse than losing is when you're up, but then you continue to trade and give it all back to the market." You made money, you kept going, and now you're red. It's the most common way a good day turns bad.
It's not a strategy problem
Flow is direct: most traders already understand the mechanics — support and resistance, trendlines, break-and-retest, confirmation candles. "It's not a strategy problem," he says. "It's a discipline problem." Untrained money is undisciplined money: it revenge-trades to win back a loss and overtrades out of boredom or emotion.
Trained money is a set of habits
The fix isn't a new indicator — it's engraining the habits of a disciplined trader so the plan survives contact with a live market. Flow's own observation: he doesn't know traders who trade all day and stay profitable; the disciplined ones take far fewer, higher-quality trades and walk away when the plan says to. That's the whole idea behind Trained Money: money that follows rules under pressure instead of reacting to every candle.
