Study 90%, trade 10%: the ratio most people invert
Asked how he splits his time, Flow says studying is about 90% and actually pulling the trigger is maybe 10%. Most beginners do the opposite — and it shows.
Flow studies far more than he trades — roughly 90% studying, 10% executing. He even warns the people in his group not to hear him mention something and immediately "run off" and buy it. Trading like a pro is mostly preparation; the actual click is a small fraction of the work.
The click is the easy 10%
Amateurs invert the ratio — they trade constantly and study almost never, then wonder why results are random. The professional spends the bulk of the time on research, theses, and waiting, so that when they finally act, the decision is already made. Hearing someone mention a name is not a signal to buy; it's a prompt to go study. Do the 90% and the 10% takes care of itself.
