Why Flow caps himself at two day trades
Two trades, max — and the reason is psychology, not strategy. Flow's cap protects him from the two things that wreck accounts: fear and greed.
Flow caps day trading at about two trades a day, for two reasons: to protect from fear and to protect from greed. Overtrade and "you're more likely to actually lose money." Be patient, wait for a real opportunity — and if there isn't one, don't trade.
Two trades, two reasons
Day trading, Flow explains, is when you're "not buying stuff for the long term" and you're focused on just that particular day. His cap is roughly two trades — one guardrail against fear (bailing early, chasing) and one against greed (pressing your luck after a win).
No setup? Don't trade.
The discipline is in the restraint: "you just want to be patient, wait for opportunities. If there's one, go ahead and trade. If not, you don't trade." Overtrading isn't more chances to win — it's more chances to give it back.
