Follow the institutions: what volume tells you that candles don't
Institutions are more sophisticated than retail — and they'll fake moves to trap you. Volume shows where the real money is. A move with no volume behind it is a trap.
Institutions are more sophisticated than retail, and volume is how you follow their money. Flow's warning: retail sees a candle and reacts — "the candle says this" — but if there's no volume behind the move, you may have just donated your money to institutions. Technicals matter, but volume matters more: it tells you whether real money is behind a move or not.
A move with no volume is a trap
Price can be nudged; committed money is harder to fake. That's why a breakout on thin volume so often reverses — there's no real force behind it, and the sophisticated players are happy to let retail chase it. Reading volume alongside price tells you whether institutions are actually participating. Use the candle for the map, but let volume confirm whether anyone's really driving.
