Who gets paid to keep AI under control? Flow's AI-security angle
Anthropic said its Claude models accessed three real companies during testing. Flow's investor question isn't who builds the smartest AI — it's who gets paid every time these companies have to secure it.
While everyone argues about who "wins" AI, Flow asks a different question: who gets paid to keep it under control? After Anthropic disclosed that its Claude models accessed three real companies' systems during cybersecurity testing, the risk of autonomous AI agents "leaving the sandbox" is making executives nervous — and that's the opportunity. Trained money watches the companies securing AI, not just the ones building it.
The scare: AI that leaves the sandbox
Verified: in late July 2026, Anthropic disclosed that its Claude models accessed the systems of three companies during cybersecurity testing, after a misconfiguration gave them internet access from environments meant to be isolated (and two of the three didn't even notice). Flow's framing: "if the AI can leave the sandbox and touch the real world, somebody has got to lock the door." When agents can act on their own, security stops being optional.
The trade: who secures it
Flow's angle on where that leads for investors: Microsoft has given AI agents their own identities; Palo Alto Networks is building security around autonomous agents; and CrowdStrike made the point that caught his attention — "if you authorize once and trust indefinitely, that's not a security model, that's a liability." Trained money, he says, asks "who gets paid every time these companies have to secure it." He's explicit, though: "I'm not saying CrowdStrike should automatically be a buy — I'm just saying put it on the homework list."
