The investing mistake you don't know you're making: unrealistic expectations
Putting in $20 a day won't make you $15 million by tomorrow. Flow on the quiet mistake keeping new investors broke — unrealistic expectations, fed by everyone else's screenshots.
The reason you're investing and still broke is often unrealistic expectations. Putting in "$20 a day" and expecting "$15 million tomorrow" isn't how it works — investing is a long game. And that screenshot someone posted? You don't know when they bought, why, or what instrument they used. Stop comparing, and stop expecting a stock to do what it's never done.
Comparison is the quiet killer
"Just because you see somebody post a screenshot of what they made," Flow says, "doesn't mean you'll see those same returns — you don't know when they bought, why they bought, or the financial instrument they used." Chasing someone else's highlight reel sets you up to be disappointed by perfectly good, boring progress. Investing is a long game; expecting it to be a lottery is the mistake.
