ROBINHOOD
The app Flow opens on his phone when he walks beginners through their first $500.
heavyreturns.com/free is Flow's personal Robinhood referral link. When you open and fund an account through it, Robinhood gives both of us a free stock. No cash commission changes hands. Not a paid sponsorship.
What it is
Robinhood is a commission-free brokerage app. You can buy stocks, ETFs, and fractional shares from a phone, open a Roth IRA or a taxable account, and set up recurring investments.
How Flow uses it
Flow says on camera that Robinhood is the most user-friendly starting point for beginners and that a lot of people start there. In the YOUR FIRST $500 video he places the example investment on his own phone so viewers can follow along. For his own active trading he uses a different setup and says so.

Who it fits
- You have never opened a brokerage account and want the fewest screens between you and a first, sized investment.
- You want fractional shares and a recurring buy so the next payday has a job.
- You want a Roth IRA and a taxable account in the same app.
Limits
- Flow does not recommend it as the only long-term home for a large portfolio. He has a Short on exactly that.
- Options approval, pattern day trading rules, and margin all apply. Beginners should stay in cash accounts.
- Customer support is app-first. If you want a phone number and a branch, this is not it.
Use it with the guide
- Read YOUR FIRST $500 first. Decide the account type before you tap anything.
- Open the account through the tracked link below, fund it with money you can leave alone.
- Turn on a recurring buy. Small and boring beats big and emotional.
